Day 1: The Gateway to the Hills (Airport to Kandy)

Drive Duration: Approx. 3–4 hours

Highlights:

Pickup from the airport and drive towards the hill capital, Kandy.
En route visit to the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage to see elephants bathing in the river.
Stop at a Spice & Herbal Garden in Mawanella/Matale to learn about Sri Lankan ayurvedic herbs, cinnamon, and traditional remedies.
Arrive in Kandy and visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa) for the evening ceremony.

Day 2: Culture, Gardens & Gems (Kandy Exploration)

Day 3: The Most Beautiful Train Ride (Kandy to Nuwara Eliya)
